A live demo server

A demonstration ProjectX42 server runs at demo.projectx42.online, populated with simulated lights, climate and sensors. It is a sandbox: changes you make there affect nothing real, and the data is reset periodically.

Running your own

To run ProjectX42 for real you install the server on hardware you control — a spare PC, a Raspberry Pi, a NAS, or a virtual machine — and then point the app at it. See the app guide to connect.
